I have a ton of exciting things to share with you all!! Not to brag but just because I’m bubbling over with excitement so much and I need to channel this excitement somewhere other than to Zack, he hears and sees it all the time
Next week I am headed to NYC for the FITNESS Blogger Meet & Tweet (#FitBlogNYC) where I will have the opportunity to meet Editor & Chief of FITNESS Magazine, Betty Wong – The CEO of FitFluential the lovely Miss Kelly Olexa… NOT TO MENTION Some of my fellow FitFluential Ambassadors and Tweeps!! (There is a Pop Up workout at the end of the event, which from my understanding is a group fitness version of a Flash Mob?!! I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE A PART OF A FLASH MOB!!!)
On top of THAT awesomeness right there, this will be my first trip BY MYSELF to the City. I am super excited. I have squeezed a lot of fun things into the few days I will be there. I have a ticket to go see Avenue Q (Again, I saw it a few years ago.. SO GOOD THOUGH.) Meeting up with my super favorite high school friend Kyle for dinner and cocktails! Oh & I’m going to run in Central Park. But, duh… We already knew that
I did something CRAZY on Sunday… I was browsing the interwebz and was reading an article about the oops that happened with registrant’s information of the London Marathon — in doing so I discovered the Application process for 2013 was open… After a rush of excitement, a conversation with Zack, and going over financial numbers in my head… I submitted my Ballot for the 2013 LONDON MARATHON BABYY! I know I said that The Flying Pig would be my first marathon, but this just seemed too cool, and Zack and I have been discussing going to London for a while now… But how we didn’t want it to be during our honeymoon.. I do, after all have family over there
I don’t find out until October if I got in (OMG GONNA DIE), and if I didn’t I will be running Flying Pig still!! They’re only a few weeks apart, so I’m able to figure out training for either one
I registered for my first Sprint-Triathlon…. I have zero goals for this thing other than completing it. I am so not a swimmer… I can do a mean breast stroke, but that’s about it — I resemble more of a frog than anything else…. I just think it will be fun, and training for it will give me a way to be outdoors this summer and being active outside of running! I don’t plan on being a triathlete and doing a bunch of Tris. This may possibly be my only one. I don’t think I’ll EVER do even a half-iron man. People who do are totally bad ass and inspirational to me, but — I just don’t think it’s for me. Shrug
We are heading to Texas for Memorial Day Weekend! My dad has been building their dream house in New Braunfels, TX!! (Outside of San Antonio!!) Right by the River, around the corner from a Vinyard/Winery (hello my friend) and only about 15 minutes away from the rest of his side of the family’s homes!!
It’s ALL FINISHED!! I’m also incredibly excited because it will be the first time my dad meets my niece.. His first grandchild!
At the end of July we are headed to San Francisco! I am so stoked to run the hills of San Fran. It’s going to be amazingly gorgeous. But it gets even better. We are checking out neighborhoods and price points!!! We are still planning on going to the city so I can finish my last year of school after our wedding, but I only have a year – so we are trying to get our numbers in order & figure our what neighborhoods are safest, cutest, most convenient. I AM SO EXCITED!! I have always wanted to live in the Bay Area!! NOW ITS OUR CHANCE. We may not be IN San Fran… Berkeley is a bit pricy, but I am in love with that area. We shall see!!
The runner AND gypsy in me are excited for this! Not only will I be moving to the complete opposite side of the country but I will also be in the land of gorgeous running.
Okay I am officially out of exciting news, I think.
I am dying to know though, What upcoming events, days, races, or what have you are YOU most excited about? Could be near or far, I want to know

Sounds like a lot of great stuff going on for you! See you at FitblogNYC!
Yess! Can’t wait to meet you!
WOW! So many fun, exciting things in store for you!! =)
Whenever there’s a lottery for a race and I’m unsure if I should do it or not, I just sign up – I feel that if I’m meant to run it, I’ll get in. If not, I won’t get in!!!
PS – looking forward to meeting you at FitBlog!!!
That’s what I’m convincing myself. If it’s meant to be, I will get that magazine in the mail!!
Can’t wait to meet you next week!! eee
Wow! you have so much travel in your future! That is super fun! I am jealous. I am going to be at the Fitness Magazine event next week as well! I am so excited to go but also super nervous. I am going completely solo, meaning I know no one. I mean I kind of feel like I know some of the bloggers from reading their blogs, but I really do not know anyone! Eeek. Do you know any bloggers? I would love to meet you!
I’m a bit nervous too… I’ve never been to a blogger event before! & I’ve only met two blog fiends before but sadly neither will be attending. So I also don’t know anyone either!! But like you said – between chatting with & reading their blogs I do feel I know them!!
It’ll be awesome though!
Can’t wait to meet you
whoa! london marathon would be awesome!
The London Marathon sounds awesome!! And congrats on registering for your first tri. I remember saying that I just wanted to do 1 or 2 and would NEVER be crazy enough to do an Ironman. They are addicting though.
haha that’s what everyone keeps saying “youll be hooked once you hit that finish line” probably so, because running was that way for sure!
I’ve been told it starts with one triathlon – I signed up for my first one this summer, too, so I guess we’ll find out!
I’m jealous you’re going to a blogger meet up! Have fun!
You are a registraion machine! Congrats… I have always wanted to A. visit London. B. Run the sh*t out of it. LOL. Good Luck!
Dude! You are coming to the Bay Area? I would love to run some sight-seeing miles… sadly you are coming the week I’m in Jamaca for a friends wedding. The East Bay is totally affordable and an easy BART ride away from the city.
that just means that we’ll have to go for some runs when i move there!!
