I couldn’t have asked for a better Monday. I woke up, at 5:30 in the morning to get ready to head into a long day of work. 5:30am is a time that makes me sick to my stomach.. I am so not a morning person, what-so-ever. If I’m ever awake this early, it’s important to everyone’s well being that I have a large cup of coffee before making contact with me.

Zack was especially concerned that my Hulk-Smash was going to come out when I was sitting at the coffee table… CRYING. The confused look on his face when he asked what was wrong, and I responded “Absolutely. NOTHING” was priceless… I had just scooted over to my friend Pavement Runner’s blog and to my GIGANTIC surprise — he had thrown me what I’m referring to as a “blog post surprise birthday party“… (Most adults sit and read the newspaper over coffee/breakfast or watch the news.. In our household we’re reading blogs. I’m usually reading fitness blogs while Z catches up on his favorite news blogs. Huffington Post especially.)

Needless to say, my morning wasn’t groggy or awful. I had a huge smile on my face! Thank you Pavement Runner — and so many of our fellow FitFluential Ambassadors & friends. In an attempt to convey my gratitude; Y’all get the lovely opportunity to see my face again while I blab away at the playground

In addition to this awesome post — I also received the welcome e-mail and ITINERARY from Oakley in regards to the Perform Beautifully retreat in Napa next weekend. (holy cow — next weekend already? wow it snuck up on me!!) I’m not going into more detail about our plans for the weekend, but I will just say that OH MY GOD, I squealed out loud, multiple times while reading it.

Needless to say you guys are in store for some awesome reviews and other goodies in the weeks to come!!!

Here’s to hoping the rest of the week and maybe my 5k this weekend?!?!?! can be just as good as today.
